Upon retirement in 2007, he and his wife relocated to Georgia to be closer to family.ĭavid will be fondly remembered as a loving husband and dad, proud granddaddy, devoted friend, Air Force veteran, distinguished linguist and translator, accomplished banker, enthusiastic Hook em’ horns (University of Texas) alumna and Dallas Cowboys football fan, classic rock and roll music and guitar aficionado, lover of fine wines, master of snarky comebacks and dry wit, an unrivaled trivia buff, and historian. He enjoyed a 25-year banking career employed by Credit Lyonnaise/Credit Agricole in Atlanta, Boston and NYC, NY where he served as Managing Director and Head of Conduit Securitization, and Senior Advisor to the Executive Committee. Following an honorable discharge, he attended the University of Texas graduating summa cum laude with a BA In International Studies focusing on the Middle East and an MBA in International Finance. After completing basic training, he studied at the Presidio of Monterrey Defense Language Institute and then served as an Arabic linguist while stationed in Crete, Greece. David passed at home on Monday, May 1, 2023, at the age of 70 after living with Parkinson’s disease for over 25 years.
